Welcome 
My name is Christie Boone and I am so excited to have each of you in my class. I am a Special Education teacher at Lumpkin COunty Elementary School in Dahlonega, Ga. I have been in education for over 15 years. During that time, I have had the privelege to serve in the general education and special education environments. I have worked with students from kindergarten through eighth grade. I have learned so much from each and every student that I have crossed paths with and I am a better teacher and individual because of each unique child entrusted to me. I strive to relate and build relationships with each of my students on a personal level. I do not want to see so many children as a whole unit that I do not see the individual greatness and needs of each one. We are each created as our own masterpiece and need to be approached as such. From the knowledge gained from these new found relationships, academic goals can be set and achieved as we walk this journey together with conficdence and assurance. I count it an honorand a privelege to assist my students in their success from day to day. Let the adventure begin!
Personal Introduction
I am originally from south Georgia but have lived in White County for almost 9 years. I have 2 children,
my son, Kyler who graduated high school in 2019 and my daughter, Kellie who is a 9th grader this year.
I enjoy going to church, shopping, yardsales, movies, out to eat, riding to new places, spending time with
family, but I mostly enjoy spending time with my children and following them around for their involvement
in whatever activities they are participating in. Since I was a small child, I knew that I wanted to be a
teacher,mainly because of the influences of some great teachers in my own life. Teaching is so much more
than academics alone. To make a difference on a personal level for a child is to conquer the whole world and
place the endless possibilities of the world in the palms of their hands. I often say that a couple of teachers
in my life, actually saved mylife when they invested in me as an individual and not just as their student.
Teaching is my passion andmission field in this life. To touch one life is to change the course of this world.
In doing so, students have the endless possibilities to learn and be academically successful.
My Classroom
My class will always serve as a safe, warm, and loving environment for each every student that
enters the doors. First and foremost, it is a loving home away from home. We are a family and will
conduct each day as such. I do not condone bullying of any kind. We will treat one another as the unique
and great individuals that we are. We will build one another up and grow together along this journey.
Everyone has an important voice that matters in our class and will be treated with respect. Anything less
is unacceptable and will be dealt with accordingly and replaced with the appropriate interactions. My goal
is for everyone to leave each day with more knowledge than they started with. Educational success is at
the fingertips of every student. Teaching is so much more than academics alone. To make a difference on
